So, over recent weeks we have been clearing out lots of gutters in Burscough, Rufford and Parbold.
The same things come up again and again!
Number 1 – If TV Aerial or Sky Tv installers run cables in the gutters, it always causes problems in the end. Moss and muck starts to build against the cable and in the end, it leads to a blocked gutter.
Number 2 – Don’t Neglect your roof valleys. This lead valley was between a carport pitched roof and the side wall of a house in Burscough. Because this gutter was full and blocked, moisture was creeping under the lead and causing damp in the house. This type of gutter cleaning is more difficult than a standard gutter. These long valley gutters are sometimes found on conservatory roofs. If you are in Burscough, Rufford, Parbold or surrounding areas, we are able to clear out these gutters with our gutter vac system.
Last but not least, we find that gutter systems work better when the downpipes aren’t blocked. This gutter in Burscough was completely cleared and cleaned by us 10 months ago. Unfortunately the roof is very mossy and the gutters are full of moss again less than a year later. You wouldn’t even know there was a downpipe there! The water was pouring over the top of the gutter in heavy rain.
