Because we use the “Reach and Wash” pure water cleaning system, we are able to clean windows in the rain! The only downside to wet weather cleaning is – we get wet!
Its a common misconception that rain makes windows dirty – this simply isn’t true. When a dirty window (and window frame) gets rained on and then dries you are often left with dirty spots. This understandably leads people to assume that the rainwater was dirty.
What is actually happening is that the relatively clean rainwater is hitting your already dirty window and frame. This water runs down the glass, taking with it some dust and general dirt. When the water dries, it leaves behind it the dirt it collected in concentrated, dirty spots.
If we clean your windows during a rainy day using our pure, filtered and deionised water this doesn’t happen! We remove all the dirt, dust and surface contaminants from the glass and frames. This means that there is nothing left for the rainwater to collect and leave behind – no more dirty rain spots.
This doesn’t apply with tap water – particularly in our area. The high level of TDS (total dissolved solids) including calcium, magnesium, chlorides etc in local tap water means that if you were to clean your windows with tap water (even on a dry day) and leave it to dry on the glass it would leave spotting and water marks. What is happening here is similar to what happens when it rains onto a dirty window – the water dries and leaves behind its deposits. Tap water is not clean enough to clean windows!
